Ubantu wa Kiswahili

Kuna nadharia mbalimbali zinazozungumzia asili ya Kiswahili. Moja ya nadharia hizo ni ile inayodai kuwa Kiswahili ni Kibantu. Nadharia hii inaegemea zaidi vigezo vya ulinganishi baina ya Kiswahili na lugha zingine za Kibantu. Vigezo hivyo huonesha mfanano wa Kiswahili na lugha za Kibantu kama vifuatavyo; Kwanza ni mfanano wa msamiati wa msingi. Lugha ya Kiswahili na lugha zingine za Kibantu zimefanana sana katika msamiati hasa ule wa msingi. Kwa mfano; Neno la Kiswahili mwana linafanana na umwana (Kinyakyusa) na ng’wana – Kisukuma. Pia, neno jicho linafanana na iliso – Kizulu, eliiso – Kiruri, liso – Kisukuma na elisho – Kihaya. Mfanano huu unadhibitisha kuwa Kiswahili ni mojawapo ya lugha za Kibantu. Swahili language is mainly spoken in East Africa including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. Other African countries those use Swahili are like; Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Comoros, Mozambique, South Africa and Nigeria among many.
