Lesson 4 Days of the Week (Siku za Juma)

There are seven days of the week as we know. Here we will mention them by using Kiswahili and it is read as it is written.

  1. Jumamosi (Saturday)
  2. Jumapili (Sunday)
  3. Jumatatu (Monday)
  4. Jumanne (Tuesday)
  5. Jumatano (Wednesday)
  6. Alhamisi (Thursday)
  7. Ijumaa (Friday)

Some of sentences helping to remember days of the week.

  1. Jumamosi ni siku ya mapumziko. (Saturday is the resting day.)
  2. Jumapili tunaenda kanisani. (On Sunday we are going to church.)
  3. Jumatatu tunaenda kazini. (On Monday we are going to work.)
  4. Jumanne tunaandaa taarifa za kazi. (On Tuesday we prepare work’s report).
  5. Jumatano tunakaa kwenye vikao. (On Wednesday we sit for meeting.)
  6. Alhamisi tunapitia mikataba mbalimbali. (On Thursday we pass through different treats).
  7. Ijumaa tunafanya semina na kufunga kazi. (On Friday we are doing seminars and end the work)

    I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but
